What age group are TK Teepees suitable for?
TK Teepees tents are suitable from ages 4 and upwards, children of all ages from primary to high school and even adults have occasions for TK Teepees
Adult supervision is required for all children under the age of 18 years
Can TK Teepees be used outside?
TK Teepees are designed for flexible use, indoors or in sheltered areas from weather. They are flexible and can be used on sunny days outside for a themed picnic party or dinner under the starry sky.
TK Teepees can be used in covered areas, such as a garage or patio that is protected from weather for sleepover parties, or camp outs in your lounge room, family room or kids bedroom
If the slumber party is on a rough surface, an additional $5 per teepee fee will be applied for mats to be placed underneath each teepee. Sprinklers, hoses and water must not be used near any TK Teepee hire equipment
Do TK Teepees need power?
No, not for the sleepover as all decorative lights & lanterns run on batteries. We ask adults to turn off most of the lights at night when sleeping. Some lights may be used as night lights. Batteries are tested and replaced but may not last the full length of the night until dawn. The only power needed will be used during set up.
What areas do you delivery to?
Our HQ is in located in Redlynch, Cairns.
We deliver to suburbs around Cairns, from Gordonvale to the Northern Beaches. If you are out of these areas, please contact us to discuss your booking
Please allow 1hr – 2hrs for set up depending on number of teepees and for pack down to take 1/2hr – 1hr
How much space will I need per tent?
TK Teepees set ups are tailored to your unique space, no one party will be the same. TK Teepees will have two consultations with you to discuss your teepee party and a site visit for larger parties. If you are not sure of your space; measurements will ensure you have sufficient room to fit in the number of guests you have booked for.
TK Teepees do a pre-party assessment to determine what best fits into your space (phone or site consultations)
Before we arrive at your place to set up for your TK Teepees party, ensure that the allocated space had been cleared of all furniture and the floors are clean
Each TK Teepee with the mattress, measures:
>1.9m length x 90cm wide x 1.45m high - without the breakfast tray at the end of the bed
>2.5m length x 90cm wide x 1.45m high - with the breakfast tray at the end of the bed
(If limited space, the breakfast tray can sit on the end of the bed)
We work with many different configurations to accommodate everyone in most spaces. Floor plans suggestion sheets are coming soon
What payment is required?
Step 1
Book your party by emailing or calling TK Teepees 0409 752 488
Step 2
TK Teepees will call to discuss your party date and availability of theme
Step 3
You will receive a follow up Booking Confirmation Email & Rental Agreement, at this time send back the filled in rental agreement and the deposit is required to be paid: $100 (up to 5 teepees) & $150 (6+ teepees) payable within 48 hours
Bookings are only confirmed after the deposit (via bank transfer or credit card) has been received and Booking Agreement returned
Step 4
Final payment + a $100 bond is due 72 hours prior to the party date, unless other arrangements have been made
The bond will be electronically returned to you, subject to inspection of the décor package being returned in the same condition hired
What if the number of guests change before the party?
Please let us know asap; we will work with you around what changes are needed for your party. An increase in TK Teepees is subject to availability of theme décor and a decrease may incur a charge.
What is the cancelation policy?
Where possible we will look to re-arrange your party dates. If this is not possible 72 hours’ notice is needed for a full cancellation. A refund will be: money paid - booking fee.
What happens if and items are lost, broken or soiled?
A $100 bond is paid prior to the party, this is for any losses, broken or soiled item as per the Rental Agreement. If lost, broken or soiled items are noted, they are replaced at the client’s expense from the bond. The full bond may not be returned or will be pro-rated at our staff’s discretion due to damage, soiling or losses.
If the damage exceeds the $100, then TK Teepees will send you an invoice with the extra costs. This is to be paid within 14 days of days invoice
If no damages are found the $100 bond is fully refunded
Why do I have to be there for the set up & pack down?
The Client is to be home at all times during set up and pack down, we will not enter a home without an adult present.
The Client needs to sign the delivery order for the décor package, ensuring everything is in good working order and set up
When we pack down, everything is again inspected to ensure no damages and the décor package is in order. A signature is required and impacts the security deposit
The Client is responsible for losses or damage resulting from equipment being delivered to an unattended premises or location as requested by the Clients.
Do I need to bring my own pillow?
Yes, you do. For hygienic reasons, we cannot supply pillows to sleep on
TK Teepees decorative pillows are not to be used for sleeping on
Safety & Cleanliness
All our décor packages are curated thinking about your child’s safety and the good care of your house:
No eating or drinking in the TK Teepees is allowed
TK Teepees must not be moved outside or removed from their original set up location
Please do not stand, jump, bounce or lean on any part of the TK Teepees or décor
We all love our pets, but all animals must be kept away from TK teepees due to some children having extreme allergic reactions to animal hair (which is not always easy to eliminate despite thorough washing)
TK Teepees poles are pinned, however floor surfaces can create slippage

Sleeping pillows are not provided, guests need to supply their own due to hygiene standards. Decorative/ornamental cushions are included in the décor package but are NOT for sleeping on
Cushions, linens, canopies, blankets and doona covers are commercially cleaned using eco-friendly products
Rugs, mattresses, tray tables and tent frames are spot cleaned and sanitised after use
String lights and tea lights are battery-operated and can be turned on and off by adults as required
Non-slip mats are placed under mattresses and rugs, so they stay in place under normal use
